Lyrics - Money Don't Buy Happiness

Earth's goodies are for everyone,
If money wasn't the criterion.
Gotta pay for this and that,
Ain't what life should be about.
Rich as Croesus, or beggarly poor,
The lucre determines the score.

'Money don't buy happiness', they say,
Without it you can't pay your way.
Can't take it with you when you go.
HEAVEN DON'T NEED NO CASH FLOW.

Scrimping and counting the pence,
To keep body and soul together, ain't sense.
Life's got to be turned around,
So it don't take money to be safe and sound.

Why did life deviate,
From the homely 'give and take'?
Fair exchange is no robbery,
Clear as honey to the bee.
Now everything is monetary.
Brings out the worst in humanity.

'Money don't buy happiness', they say,
Without it you can't pay your way.
Can't take it with you when you go.
HEAVEN DON'T NEED NO CASH FLOW.

Money never lingers,
Slips through your fingers.

Without money life's a pinch.
No use for it would be a cinch.
So many wonders in this world to see,
No money, no mobility.
If you want to travel afar,
Gotta hitch your wagon to a star.

'Money don't buy happiness', they say,
Without it you can't pay your way.
Can't take it with you when you go.
HEAVEN DON'T NEED NO CASH FLOW.
